SLUSH WEEK 1/5 – Planning

This week I will write a blog post everyday. SLUSH 2019 is just around the corner and this week is full of side-events, promotional activities and of course two solid days of exhibition activities.

This week I will write a blog post everyday. SLUSH 2019 is just around the corner and this week is full of side-events, promotional activities and of course two solid days of exhibition activities.

This year is especially exciting for me, as we will pre-launch Media Pocket – then and there. And, as the Finnish saying “hyvin suunniteltu on puoliksi tehty” roughly translates into English: “Well planned is half done.”

This day and tomorrow is all about planning.

Booth E6, *FRIDAY ONLY*

Now – it’s not everyday you get to do something like a product launch. As anybody who has ever worked with a new product or service knows, product launches are about as important as business activities go.

Mess a launch – and you are facing increasing costs, missed opportunities and in the worst case scenario you have to do the entire launch all over again.

For us, SLUSH 2019 is of course just one of many methods of promotion, marketing activities and lead gathering. Still, it’s an important event as it obviously creates an internal push for everybody involved to give that 100 % during those two exhibition days at least.

Some fancy eye catcher roll-ups I created.

For example the roll-ups seen above are just as important as this blog post. Some might think that promotional material is next to nothing, but in reality we have to fight for the attention of our target customer. It’s no secret. A much more important aspect is, can we do our promotional activities so that it ties to our product. And this week is all bout that.

It was such a nice occasion to notice that when I was going through all the possible material for our posters, banners, graphics, etc. – everything was easy to find as they were in – you guessed it – Media Pocket. Definitely one of the days when I was honestly happy to use our own product.

Planning and preparation continues tomorrow, before the side-events kickoff!
